Shinigami IND, hailing from Mérida, Yucatán, Mexico, emerged in 2010 as a musical experimentation projectled by Kira, the sole member of the project. With the intention of expressing the unpleasant facets of society,he chose to use industrial sound as a vehicle to convey his message. After a brief hiatus in 2012, the projectresurfaced in 2019 in the city of Veracruz, marking a radical shift by incorporating vocals and departing fromits purely musical focus.

This 180-degree turn resulted in a striking project aiming to channel the perceived anger and frustration inconservative society. The first EP, "Deadman In The Wonderland," was released on September 18, 2020,under the Mexican label Electrosound, receiving excellent reception. Participation in various compilations bythe Russian Dark Community paved the way for signing with the Russian label Insane Records.

 

With the release of the first LP, "Alice In The Borderland," Shinigami IND began to solidify the cyberpunksound that characterizes the project. This material received acclaim both in Mexico and various parts of theworld. In 2023, the project's path took a new direction by joining the Hungarian label Advoxya Records,leading to the release of the new LP, "Rage Machine," on January 11, 2024. This album further defined thecyberpunk sound of the project, incorporating aggressive industrial sounds and powerful lyrics criticizingsocial oppression. Shinigami IND continues to stand out as a unique exponent in the music scene,challenging norms and exploring the boundaries of industrial sound and cyberpunk.
